Tsukishiro Yuina was a talented singer—until a traffic accident stole her voice. Unable to sing anymore, she fell into deep despair. Believing she had nothing left to live for, Yuina chose to end her life.
But when she opened her eyes again, she found herself inside the world of a novel she had read before her death, The Saint Who Abandons Her Status. Worse still, she had possessed the body of the story’s villainess, Ariadeline.
To make matters even more complicated, the story had already progressed to the point where the main protagonists were married, and Ariadeline had been publicly condemned. Even in this new world, her situation was utterly miserable. Seeing no hope, Yuina—now Ariadeline—decided to take her life once again.
However, this time she was stopped by her former husband, Carlothian.
“I don’t want you to die.”
Ironically, in the original story, he was the one who killed her. Yet now, Carlothian repeatedly interferes with her attempts to end her life.
“Why won’t you kill me like you did in the original story…?”
And so begins the story of Ariadeline, a villainess who lost her dream, and Carlothian, her cold yet secretly caring former husband, as they try to rewrite their tragic and misunderstood love story.
