“Black-haired jerks…”
Why is it that in every romance novel, the female lead always ends up with the cold, black-haired guy? And why do I always fall for the soft, brown-haired second male lead?!
In Alliance Marriage, that guy is Baileon Biers—the prime minister of the empire and Princess Odette’s childhood friend. Sweet, reliable, totally my type… and of course, doomed to unrequited love. I cried over him every night.
Then somehow, I wake up inside the novel—as Marien Didier, his third aide.
Alright, that’s it. If the story won’t give him a happy ending, I will. I’m making Baileon the male lead myself!
“Have you ever thought about dyeing your hair… black?”
“…Why would I do that?”
“Because that’s the only way to end your one-sided love, Lord Biers.”
If hair color is the problem, we fix it. If presence is the problem, we train it. Thus begins: Operation Act Like a Northern Duke.
Cold attitude, fewer words, dramatic exits without looking back—basically, fake it till you make it.
“…Are you sure the princess likes this kind of thing?”
“I’m 100% sure.”
“…This feels a bit extreme.”
Baileon’s not fully convinced, but he goes along with it anyway. The problem? Odette doesn’t budge, Baileon starts losing confidence… and then the real black-haired Northern Grand Duke shows up.
My favorite fluffy-but-secretly-dangerous “rabbit” has entered the scene.
So… can I really rewrite this romance?
